Advancing Healthcare Consumerism
Employers Council on Flexible Compensation (ECFC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the advocacy, education, advancement, and innovation of tax advantaged benefit programs that facilitate choice for employers and their employees. We believe such tax-advantaged accounts and programs empower employees to take control of their healthcare dollars, and help employers to provide a positive benefits package and workplace environment.
About our members and programs
Our members include employers, third party administrators, health plan providers, payers, providers, payment networks, processors, and financial institutions. Programs supported by ECFC include: Cafeteria plans and other flexible benefits programs under Section 125, consumer-driven health plans including health reimbursement arrangements (HRAs) and health savings accounts (HSAs), tax-advantaged transportation spending/commuter benefits accounts (TSAs), dependent care assistance plans (DCAPs), and healthcare flexible spending accounts (FSAs). Collectively, we refer to all of these as “flexible benefit programs."
