ACFCI Instructor Upgrade

   Advanced Certified Flexible Compensation Instructor (ACFCI)

Professionals who already hold the ACFC designation and are committed to training future leaders in the field should consider becoming an Advanced Certified Flexible Compensation Instructor.

No exam is required to obtain the ACFCI. The applicant must complete the ACFCI Application and provide verification that s/he has fulfilled the requirements.

To become an Advanced Certified Flexible Compensation Instructor, one must:

  1. Have at least 5 years of experience in the compensation/benefits industry
    1. Applicant must submit proof of experience by providing proof of employment, including job title, description of duties, and length of employment.
  2. Provide documentation of receiving at least 22 Continuing Education units since first becoming an ACFC .
  3. Have held the ACFC designation for at least one year.
  4. Pay all appropriate certification continuing education and related fees.

If the applicant meets the requirements, s/he will be awarded a certificate, and may use the AFCI designation after her/his name (until the expiration date of said designation).

The ACFCI designation is valid for three years (36 months) from the date application is approved.  You will receive a new Instructor Certificate. In order to continue to hold the ACFCI designation, an individual must submit the appropriate continuing education documentation (22 CE Units) and pay the recertification fee in order to renew her/his certification in order to maintain the ACFCI designation.

As an ACFCI, an individual may teach flexible compensation courses, which can be approved for ECFC continuing education units.
