·      Understand how contracts and contract design may impact who is responsible for data breaches and the cost associated with data breaches

·      Understand what happens when there is a PHI breach

·      Understand what is going on with HIPAA Audits

ACFC Course Eight: TPA Liability
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

 

·      Identify what a TPA agreement should include

·      Identify where the TPA has the risk of liability

·      Identify best practices to limit TPA liability

·      Identify common employer/TPA conflicts and potential ways to mitigate those

·      Identify best practices when attempting to resolve a dispute with an employer (ER)

·      Identify overall best practices when working with ERs

·      Better understand how various state laws may or may not affect them
