renew your certification
To maintain a certification, an individual must recertify every three years (36 months). Each certification carries its own CE unit requirement and certification renewal fee. The Certificant must have acquired their CE units between the time s/he passed the certification exam and the date when applying for certification renewal.
YOU MAY RENEW YOUR certification by:
If the applicant meets the requirements, s/he will be awarded a new certificate showing the Original Date of Certification and the new “Certified Until” date, and may use the certification designation after her/his name (until the expiration date of said designation).

The FCI allows a six-month grace period for someone to renew his/her certification following the lapse of her/his certification. Following that six-month lapse, s/he will need to re-take the exam in order to regain certification. Certifications may be revoked for unpaid invoices.
FCS Renewal - 4 CE Units
CFC Renewal - 12 CE Units
ACFC Renewal - 12 CE Units
CCS Renewal - 4 CCE Units
CAS Renewal - 6 CCE Units
CFCI Renewal - 22 CE Units
ACFCI Renewal - 22 CE Units
Instructor Renewals: If you do not have enough CE units to renew your instructor status, you may decide to renew back to your original designation with the appropriate renewal fee and CE units required.
